Waheed Bajwa, MD
Waheed K. Bajwa, MD, is a board-certified adult and addiction psychiatry practitioner. Dr. Bajwa leads the experienced team at Cary Behavioral Health in Cary, North Carolina, providing the community with private practice care for over 20 years. Dr. Bajwa is highly experienced, with over 30 years as a psychiatry specialist. After graduating from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, he completed his residency at Harlem Hospital in New York as part of Columbia University.
He then went on to a fellowship in biological psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center, also in New York, under the Albert Einstein College affiliate. Dr. Bajwa is passionate about helping patients with psychiatric and mood disorders, providing public services through Milwaukee County Mental Health and Dorthea Dix in Raleigh, North Carolina. Comprehensive and compassionate care is at the top of Dr. Bajwa’s priorities.
He carefully coordinates every patient’s care with primary care doctors, specialists, and hospitalists to offer a patient-centered approach to treatment. Dr. Bajwa is devoted to helping patients overcome depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and ADHD. He provides one-of-a-kind care to every patient who comes into the practice.
Maggie D'Angelo, PMHNP-BC
Maggie D’Angelo, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Cary Behavioral Health in Cary, North Carolina. Maggie is passionate about helping people. She began her nursing career after graduating from Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana.
After discovering her dedication to psychology, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina in Asheville. She then completed her academic career at East Carolina University, where she received her master’s degree. Maggie is an exceptional provider with a compassionate heart and a holistic approach to patient-centered care.
She takes pride in helping patients overcome mood disorders, traumatic brain injuries, depression and anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She’s also a firm believer in the provider-patient relationship, valuing every interaction she has with every patient to form a professional bond that aids treatment and recovery.
Maggie has been a nurse for over 10 years, bringing knowledge and experience to Cary Behavioral Health. She strives to give every patient a high-quality and compassionate experience while overcoming mental health issues. In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family.
Aaron Scheib, PA-C
Aaron has been a trusted physician assistant since 2012, bringing a wealth of experience across various medical specialties to his practice. With backgrounds in correctional medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, and ER fast track, Aaron has honed his skills in providing comprehensive healthcare to diverse patient populations.
In 2019, Aaron discovered his passion for psychiatry during his clinical rotations, and he hasn’t looked back since. He found immense fulfillment in connecting with patients on a deeper level and helping them navigate the complexities of mental health. Cecily MIller, PA-C
Cecily grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania and got her bachelors at the University of Pittsburgh. During school, she worked as an EMT in arreas surrounding the city. She went to PA school at Chatham University, also in Pittsburgh, before moving to North Carolina. She worked in neuropsychiatry, treating patients of all ages with anxiety, depression, BPAD, OCD, ADHD, brain injuries and memory complaints. She approaches each visit without judgment and with compassion and kindness. Cecily strives to support her patients through life’s ups and downs and to be a source of positivity in their mental health journeys.
