Cary Behavioral Health is an all-encompassing psychiatric and behavioral health practice serving Wake, Johnston, and Durham counties, North Carolina. The specialized care team provides patients with compassionate care and cutting-edge treatments for various mental and behavioral health problems.
The practice offers a community approach to better health care, with over 20 years of servicing adults of all ages living in the Triangle Area. The team has excellent relationships with surrounding specialists, hospitals, and therapists to provide comprehensive care to every patient.

Joana Lule, PA-C
Joana is passionate about supporting patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and PTSD in finding relief and feeling empowered while doing so. Joana believes that the patient-provider relationship is sacred and holds firm the belief that mental health is the foundation to holistic wellbeing at all stages of life. She feels that it is an honor to meet each patient where they are, with openness, kindness, and centering their individual experiences, goals, and values in their care.
Joana grew up in Upstate New York and received her bachelors in Anthropology from Cornell University in New York while completing her pre-medical curriculum. She worked in clinical research, cardiology, and physical rehabilitation prior to coming to North Carolina and graduating from Duke University. Before joining the team at Cary Behavioral Health, she worked in general medicine in the hospital setting, helping to provide compassionate care to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions including neuropsychiatric brain injuries and health crises related to memory disorders, substance use disorders, and mood disorders.
